The Hobbit by J.R.R. Tolkien I haven’t read this book since I was 10, so few years ago, and I can’t believe I haven’t read it again before now. This book is a true adventure…while it took me a about 50 pages to get in to the book this time, once I was hooked I could see why this book is a classic. While the adventure is of the dwarves making, it is truly Bilbo who is the hero (and on more than one occasion), and he keeps his pretty much throughout the whole thing even though he would much rather be in his hobbit hole with a cup of tea.
