Where the Wild Things Are by Maurice Sendak
Again this book was brought for me by a friend (I think she is trying to hint that I’m still a kid). Awhile I can see the attraction to this book for kids…I was left wanting more…maybe it is because I have seen the film Where the Wild Things Are and loved that so much that the book just wasn’t the same.
The Gruffalo by Julia Donaldson and Axel Schedfler
A friend recently brought me this book and Where the Wild Things Are after finding out that I had never read them or had them read to me as a child.
And I instantly fell in love with this book and must say it will be a book that I will read to my kids (when I have them). The book may seem a little repetitive book that what you need in a children’s book. And the character mouse is one will love.
