The Perks of Being a Wallflower by Stephen Chbosky
Once again a book that is very different to any book I have ever read.  For people who have never read The Perks of a Wallflower it is a book of letters for Charlie, a kid who is entering his first year of high school, to an anonymous friend and the book is Charlie taking about his first very of high school - the lows and the highs and everything in between.
In writing to this anonymous friend Charlie lets you into his life and all the problems that come with growing up and you become the anonymous friend, not someone who can offer advice but just listen and that’s what Charlie needs…someone to listen to all he has to say without judgement.  And in just listen you find yourself identifying with him, maybe not every detail but life as a teenager… first loves…losing people you love…making friends.
Again a book I would recommend… you will feel so much for Charlie and will not be able to put the book down.
